A Discourse on HTTPS
On the original site, this was filled with a charming rant about https, and how it is unneeded, with all the energy and vigor of a old angry astronomer ranting about this new-fangled "Copernicus" approach. Meanwhile, everytime you hit the site it hangs and you have to remember "oh, yeah, they hate https so much they won't even redirect to http," requiring you to type it into the browser, like a pre-https savage.
Anyway, privacy is good. Most of the original objections are moot now anyway.
